Some Light

The sun was beating directly down on this little guy as you can see by the shine of light off his head and shell.
Inside my vehicle Turtle was in the shade and in his shell. It's hard to see any detailson his head or legs.

My boyfriend Richard was goofing around so I decided to put the camera to good use. The sun is behind him in this photo. His shadow is in front of him and pointing directly at me.

Rather than have Rich move I moved to the side His front half look lightless compared to the back of him where all the sun was.

The sun here was to my back and directly in front of Rich... he looks like his eyes are just big black masses due to the shadow and him squinting.

Color

two analogous photos.
Top various reds/pinks caught my eye at the farmers market with this flower. I wish that the white was not in the flower or the green but for photo purposes it works well to show off the red/pinks.
Bottom photo has more than two shades of blue in it. Bootom left corner is more of a reddish purple and the lighter flowers look more like a pale blue whereas the darker posies have a rich blue hue to them.

I was at a walk-a-thon and saw this little flower. It cried out to be photographed.

The top photo is a view directly down onto the flower and all it's leaves. I like it because it shows the true colors of the leaves and flower.

The bottom photo was taken from underneath the blossom. This shows the underside of the flower as well as the other unopen buds. Personally I like this shot the best. I like the shades, the shadows and the slight off color of the flower. It's also not the typical side of the flower we look at.

I had originally photographed a statue of the Looney Tunes while at Six Flags for this assignment but this simple little flower was more interesting.
