I was at a walk-a-thon and saw this little flower. It cried out to be photographed.


The top photo is a view directly down onto the flower and all it's leaves. I like it because it shows the true colors of the leaves and flower.


The bottom photo was taken from underneath the blossom. This shows the underside of the flower as well as the other unopen buds. Personally I like this shot the best. I like the shades, the shadows and the slight off color of the flower. It's also not the typical side of the flower we look at.


I had originally photographed a statue of the Looney Tunes while at Six Flags for this assignment but this simple little flower was more interesting.

  1. I think I prefer the second one as well because I like how the whole photo is darker. Usually flower photos are always bright and sunny and everything looks illustrated, almost. The darker shot is much more intriguing.
